Homemade Bread

This bread is great. Unlike store bought bread; it actually has flavor. In other words, it's not just there to hold your sandwich together. You'll actually like it; and it will bring flavor to your sandwich. Now that I have a Bread Maker; I make my bread in it...and as of now...I have said I will never again buy bread from the store. Now...if you promise to ignore the "seasoned" pizza stone under the bread...I'll give you recipe...hehehe

Basic White Bread

Water- 1 1/2 cup + 1 tsp.
Oil- 2 Tbsp.
Salt- 2 tsp.
Sugar- 3 Tbsp.
Dried Milk Powder- 2 Tbsp.
Flour- 4 1/2 cups
Active dry Yeast- 2 tsp.

Place the ingredients into your bread pan in the order they are listed. Put the pan in your Bread Maker and follow the instructions on your model for Basic White Bread.

* Wait thirty minutes before slicing your bread. (You'll be glad you did.) I slice my bread long ways, down the middle. Then, I slice it as you would normally slice bread.

  1. I agree completely. Homemade bread is tasty and filling. It is my favorite thing to do. I have a link on my blog to www.8-muddyboots.blogspot.com and Sarah has a great recipe for Grandmother's Bread that we make daily. It is a very versitile bread.
