Wife of a Sailor. To join in go grab the questions, answer them, and link-up at Wife of a Sailor's blog. Here are the questions and my answers for the week.
1) Do you set goals for yourself during deployment? What are some of them? (from Military Mommy) I do set goals for myself during deployment. The goals I set usually pertain to exercise and healthy eating. It's easy to not plan and cook 5 course meals when your spouse is gone. I have to keep on track with that.
2) What would you say to someone dating a military guy or gal? (from Mothering Off the Cuff)
If someone dating the military asked for my advice I would tell them to not expect plans to follow through. I would tell them to not get upset with their boyfriend or girlfriend if the military comes first. I would tell girlfriends to not be jealous of females in the military. I would tell them to be certain that they want to marry the military; and if they are certain, to be prepared to spend a lot of anniversaries and other special dates alone. Last, but not least...dating is nothing like marriage.
3) If you have children, how do you prepare them to move to a new place? (from The Random Ramblings of A Household 6) We just talk about it a lot before it happens. There is only so much you can say and do. Children go through a certain age when they thinks it's fun to move and discover new places.
4)Name one hobby that gets you through alone time. (from My Sailor’s Mistress)
Umm...One hobby that gets me through alone time is eating...hehehe..Nah, I like exercise and music. If by alone time you mean actually being alone, that truly might mean stuffing my face and watching shows on my TiVo in the middle of the night.
5)What’s the one food you don’t ever get tired of? (from That Army Wife Life) One food that I never get tired of is shrimp. To be less specific...seafood.
That's all for this weeks edition of Milspouse Friday Fill-In. Tune in next week to read more about my life. (c:
