Though, it's not created with paints or markers this time, I have something to share with you. I recently had a gingerbread flop in the kitchen. I thought it was done for, but my DS had other plans to make it special. He told me what items he needed, and politely asked me to leave him alone so that he could surprise me. I did as he instructed, and a while later, he called me back to see this:

Muffin Tin Monday
It's been a while since I've posted our Muffin Tin Monday. Though we've participated every Monday, and look forward to it...I haven't posted anything. (Which is weird because I've still been taking pictures. :o) Anyhow, here's my latest creation, lunch time style:
From top left: strawberries, blueberries, chocolate milk,
cottage cheese, sliced ham, and chocolate chip cookies. :)
For some fun ideas, and to show us your muffin tin fun, check out Muffin Tin Mom!

Deviled Eggs
We really like deviled eggs around here. In fact, I've made them with the last few meals. I got a new recipe for them from Vocalpoint. You should give this one a try:
Curried Deviled EggsThe filling for these eggs involve a simple whisking, and then the toppings are all up to you! For a fancier touch, you can pipe this mixture out of a piping bag with a decorator’s tip, but they’re just as delicious straight from the spoon and into the solid white.
Serves 6 as an appetizer or snack
6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled, sliced in half lengthwise, yolks set aside
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
Topping options: Crumbled bacon, a sprinkling of dill or chives, paprika, smoked sea salt.
Combine the egg yolks, mayo, curry powder, honey, mustard, and relish in a bowl and mix thoroughly to combine. Taste the filling and adjust your seasonings. If it needs to mellow out, add a bit more mayo. If it could just a bit more kick, mix in a bit more mustard and relish.
Arrange the egg halves upright on a plate. Make sure the bottoms of the eggs are completely dry, or they could slide right off when in motion. Gently spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into the hollows of the eggs. Sprinkle with your topping of choice and enjoy!
Nutritional info per serving: 139 calories, 12 g fat, 187 mg cholesterol, 217 mg sodium, 75 mg potassium, 1.8 g carbohydrates, .2 g sugar, 6.3 g protein.

Living Alone
Guest post of the week by Deangelo Spencer
Living by myself has taken some getting used to. I have always lived with a roommate, so I have been a little lonely. Even thought my roommate was a pain sometimes, it was nice to have someone around. At least I knew if I screamed for any reason someone would hear me. I wanted to buy my own place because I thought it was a good financial decision, so hopefully it’ll all work out. I get scared when I hear little noises outside, so I decided to look into ADT Security St Louis. My home and my life mean too much to me to not at least try to protect myself. When I lived with a roommate I was looking forward to finally being on my own, but now I realize maybe I should have waited a while longer. I hear all of these terrible stories about things that happen to young women on their own, and it makes me wonder if one day one of those stories could be me. I know I am being a little paranoid, so hopefully the alarm will help with that.
